The name reflects our mission: to bring forgotten creatures, overlooked legends, and lesser-known voices of Celtic folklore back into the light. Every myth carries an echo from the past and every new story helps keep those echoes alive.
Our primary focus is the mythology and folklore of the Celtic nations:IrelandScotlandWalesCornwallBrittanyIsle of ManAdditional Celtic traditions may be added over time.
Our creature profiles are carefully researched using reliable sources whenever possible. However, mythology often exists in many different versions. We present the most widely accepted traditions while acknowledging that legends naturally vary between regions and storytellers.
Unlike modern stories, folklore was passed down orally for centuries. Different villages, regions, and generations often told the same tale in different ways. We embrace these variations because they are part of what makes mythology so fascinating.
The creature pages present researched folklore. The stories submitted by community members are original works of fiction inspired by those myths.

We hope so! One of our long-term goals is to publish a physical collection of selected stories and artwork shared through Echoes Unheard.Whether and when this becomes possible will depend on how the community grows and whether we receive enough suitable contributions to create a collection we're proud of.If we reach that point, the creators whose work is selected will be involved in the process, and the majority of the profits from the book will go to the contributing creators. For now, we're concentrating on growing Echoes Unheard into a welcoming place where writers and artists can share their work, inspire one another, and celebrate Celtic mythology together.
Not necessarily. Publication on Echoes Unheard and selection for a future physical collection would be separate decisions. If we are able to create a book in the future, selected contributors will be contacted beforehand with full details and will have the opportunity to decide whether they would like their work to be included.
