Whether you've written a short tale inspired by Celtic folklore, painted a forgotten creature, or imagined an entirely new legend, we'd love to see your work.
Before you submit, please take a few minutes to read these guidelines. They help us keep the archive welcoming, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone.
What We Accept
Original Stories
Retellings, reinterpretations, or completely original stories inspired by Celtic mythology.
Artwork
Traditional or digital illustrations, paintings, sketches, comics, or mixed media inspired by Celtic folklore.
Poetry
Poems inspired by myths, landscapes, creatures, or Celtic traditions.
Creative Essays
Thoughtful reflections or personal pieces exploring Celtic folklore and storytelling.

You don't need to be a professional writer or artist to contribute. We welcome beginners, experienced creators, and everyone in between.

Submission Guidelines
Please make sure your work meets these guidelines.
Your work must be your own
No AI-generated stories or artwork submitted as your own original creation.
(Using AI as a brainstorming tool is perfectly acceptable, but the final creative work should genuinely be yours.)
Keep it respectful
No hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content.
Credit your inspirations
If your work is based on a particular myth, historical source, or existing interpretation, we'd love to know.
Story Length
There is no strict word limit.
Most submissions will likely fall between 500 and 8,000 words, but we're happy to consider shorter flash fiction and longer stories if they suit the narrative.
Quality always matters more than length.
Mature Themes
Echoes Unheard celebrates creative freedom.
We welcome works ranging from light-hearted folklore to darker, more mature interpretations of Celtic mythology. Explicit violence, sexual content, horror, and other adult themes are acceptable when they are integral to the story or artwork rather than included solely for shock value.
Please include appropriate content warnings with your submission whenever applicable.
Setting & Worldbuilding
Your story doesn't have to take place in historical Celtic lands.
We welcome stories set in any place or time, including:

• Steampunk settings
• Post-apocalyptic futures
• Science fiction worlds

Creative Freedom
Celtic mythology has been retold for centuries, and every generation finds new ways to keep these stories alive.
You're welcome to reinterpret familiar creatures, invent new legends, combine folklore with other genres, or imagine entirely original worlds inspired by Celtic mythology.
There is no single "correct" way to tell these stories.

By submitting, you're simply giving Echoes Unheard permission to display your work on the website if it is accepted.
